Doing Everything Wrong Couldn’t Be More Right
I’ve Really missed shooting, developing, and scanning film. It’s so rewarding.
So a while back I ordered some really old Kodak Ektachrome 200 (it expired in 1990). I waited and waited and waited for the perfect opportunity to shoot it, and last summer, that opportunity arrived. Two of my best friends and I randomly went on a trip out to Coney Island to get some hot dogs. I hastily grabbed this old roll of film and my Lomo Sprocket Rocket and ran out the door. After finishing the roll while standing in the ocean, I had the idea to dunk the film in the ocean; I’d heard of people doing weird stuff like this to their film for a while and never tried it for myself.
And then the film sat on my shelf for months, my computer died so I had no way to scan film. So I waited. And I think it was worth it.
